Find all the thrills, spills, comedy and beauty that you’ve come to expect from Cirque Bijou, with circus, street theatre and larger-than-life characters from local legends and international superstars across the weekend of 20-22nd July.
The Bristol Harbour Festival circus stage, based in Castle Park celebrates Cirque Bijou’s Battle for the Winds (co-produced with Desperate Men), the South West’s largest Cultural Olympiad project, marking the London 2012 sailing events.
Bringing it all together are comedy compères Thom and Garaghty, whom Bristol audiences may have seen in their uproarious cabaret Slightly Fat Features at the Tobacco Factory in October.
Other highlights include Belgian double act Bert and Fred, who present a stunning Washington trapeze act that allows them to balance on their heads while swinging on a trapeze.
And, of course, you’ll find the one and only, super competitive balloon toss, hosted as ever by the inimitable Desperate Men. Get your balloons at the ready…
